Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but Hans' comment seemed an appropriate place for me to post this. Tymur Keleberda has achieved 3 IM norms and will become an IM if approved at the next FIDE Council. I don't remember seeing this reported on an earlier thread, but he achieved his 3rd norm in a tournament in Portugal last August.and briefly passed 2400 in November, in the middle of the Spice Cup to meet the IM requirements.Originally posted by Hans Jung View PostTymur Keleberda. Who is he?? Well I looked on chess results and his DOB is 2006 so he is a youth player or a recent young adult graduate. and he is from Edmonton Alberta. Perhaps the folks from Edmonton care to share. Who will take credit for coaching him? He plays like an old experienced player - cautious and very strategic - and believe me that is meant as an observation and as a compliment.
