Mishra's unbeaten streak is at 60 games as he held the draw against Pragga. I thought he was lost.

A lot of fantastic endgames for the fans. I'm enjoying as many as I can.

Awonder Liang's 49.e5 is a double pawn break against the D-pawn. You don't see that too often.

Interesting King endgame in Shankland Firouzja today. After Black's 47...Kf4, White played bxa5 which is trivially losing. Shankland probably thought it is lost anyway because 47.Ke2 Ke4 Black gets the opposition after both sides play their last pawn moves 48.b5 h4, but then 49.Kd2 Kf3 50.Kd3 Kg2 51.Ke2 is a draw! since Black needs the tempo move with his h-pawn to get his King out of the corner.

Rd 5 A second tough loss by Maili Jade Ouellet. At least she is playing grandmasters every round.

Maurizzi has just beaten Keymer. Keymer got zugzwanged in the endgame.

On the top boards its all about the endgame. Maghsoodloo beats Rapport and is in clear first again.

Rd 6 The wit of Giri strikes again! Hi skey win over Maurizzi moves him into a multiple tie for second place a half point back of Maghsoodloo at the half.
