The fighting games have chewed up the perfect scores. Only three perfect scores after 3: GM Golubka, FM Jaferian, and FM Plotkin. The field is very tight still. 10 with 2.5 and 25 with 2!

WFM Ashley Qian continues to impress. Her draw with GM Sambuev adds to her impressive score.

After round 4 FM Jaferian, FM Plotkin, and GM Golubka continue to lead with 3.5. 18 players half a point back.

After a perfect score ends most players performance ratings collapse. Not with Ashley Qian. Her performance rating remains well over 2500 and she continues to be red hot. WoW!

A player to keep an eye on is Amit Raunak Ramesan. He has 3 out of 4 undefeated against titled players including GM Nasuta and IM Deen Hergott and his performance is well over 2500.

Eight players, including 5 GM's, are at 4, a half point back.

Svitlana Demchenko and Ashley Qian look impressive in the field (and its a tough field)

As FM Hans Jung has posted, IM Deen Hergott is playing in the 2026 Canadian Open!! Great to see. Deen, age 64, is playing his first tournament in Canada (perhaps anywhere) since 2007. Also, IM Leon Piasetski is playing in the 2026 Championship. He is 74. Between these two veteran IMs, there are something like ten Olympiad appearances representing Canada!!!
