Thanks for the link! Carlsen - Kramnik is pretty even after 20 moves.

So when will London, Ontario get this classic event?

Re: London Classic - the Magus steps

Carlsen has just beaten Kramnik. He kept the Q side topical, winning a pawn and neutralizing Kramnik's counterplay.

Carlsen is winning now and Kramnik should resign... two bad moves by Kramnik... Moves 40 + 42 lost the game for him. Now official... Kramnik resigns! good game by Carlsen :)

Marathon game, 163 moves between Luke McShane - Nigel Short... it was almost like a blitz endgame. 1-0 for McShane!

Nigel inexplicably blew it around move 85 when he failed simply to push a pawn to d4 and lock up the position.

Carlsen takes the lead with a nice win over McShane with white. Kramnik defeated Hua with white, Nakamura held with black against Adams, Short and Howell drew.

I notice the scoring system: 3-1-0. I hope this takes off!

I have noticed that a large number of chess players who earn their living from playing do not agree with this scoring system...as a fan...I am with you...
                      3-1-0 gets my vote.

It's only tradition that dictates this. British footballers do the 3-1-0 thing too, and I think they found it helps prevent scoreless games. Good players will want to win.

Incidentally, it does not affect match play.
