The longest (non-adjourned) game I ever witnessed was this game from the 1979 Quebec Open. It started at 6 pm; ended at 5:30 am. This gamescore only shows the first 75 moves; they struggled on about 50 more moves in a KRP vs KNPP ending.

The only adjournment I ever saw was at the North Bay International, when the power failed and nobody could see the boards.

I was told about a year and a half ago that the Bluenose CC at that time still played adjournments.
