  • Magnus Carlsen in "The New Yorker"

    D. T. Max writes a long article on Magnus Carlsen in the March 21, 2011, issue. Interesting with short comments on many different aspects of Magnus' life and chess. He tells us why Magnus and Kasparov no longer work together and what he thinks Kasparov was paid for his time with Magnus. He also comments on Magnus' request to Wesley So to train with him.

It feels like Magnus did a long interview with Mr. Max and that Mr. Max used a little poetic license in the article. But, as I am not truly conversant with facts of Magnus' life and chess, maybe I am misunderstanding some stuff.

Maybe it is available on-line somewhere.

The following may be of interest regarding this article.
