Look for "Canada" not "Kanada" as it is normally spelled in German.

Just wondering how the team was chosen. Is there a specific reason why the top Woman player isn't on the team? Did our highest rated Canadian players decline? Just wondering.

It is already history. The CFC has rules based on the player's rating and played games. Results were published in the Olympic Selections Ratings ( http://www.chess.ca/newsread.asp?article=80 ). I don't know why women's list disappeared from the News.

The top Woman player Valeria Gansvind ( http://www.chess.ca/memberinfoSQL.asp?CFCN=135048 ) belongs to Estonian CF and she will play for Estonia on the second board in Dresden.

I think, it is normal English page even though hosting somewhere in Germany ;)
However, if you check German (Deutsche) version, then look for Kanada :)
