    I will play in this, although one game a day would be 82 times cooler.

        Ben, Lucas and Daniel, We can't wait to put you on the pre-registered list. And of course, you can use the Grand Pacific Open and the Keres as warm-up events!

          The reason for so many two round days for lack of Saturday availability makes me wonder. Does that city only have the one hotel capable of hosting such an event?

          The schedule doesn't sound very good for the older players as it stands.

            Congrats to Victoria for putting forward a bid and getting the priviledge of hosting the Canadian Open in 2012!
            Let the whiners present a competing bid.
            I've never been to BC, and unless I am playing chess somewhere more interesting at that time, I'll seriously consider attending.
