  • Kramnik has active chances in game 9

:) Game 9 is well under way in Bonn, and perhaps for the first time in the match, GM Kramnik looks to have some potential winning chances. Just now GM Anand has made his 20th move, and Kramnik, with his queen lurking on g7and a strong bishop on b7, could play 20...gxf4, and threaten mate on g2, probably forcing 21.Rg1. Anand is also about half an hour behind on the clock.

Seems he failed to convert his edge. Well, now he must win 3 straight and then win the rapids.

I'm going on a limb to say Anand is now undisputed world champion! Possibly the first since Kasparov started the PCA, too.
