    July 15-21 or July 15-20?

On the Toronto International website, one can read July 15-20. However, your message is titled "Toronto International July 15-21, 2012". Can you confirm the actual dates? This is important since Quebec Open is scheduled on July 21-28.

Good to see that the dates do not conflict with the Canadian Open in Victoria 8-13 July

Looks like it will be a hot summer of chess in Canada. It will start with the Edmonton International on June 27-July 2nd.

and then it will be time to relax in the Laurentians :)

From Aug 15-19, 2012, the Chess'n Math Association will be hosting our 27th Anniversary Superfest celebration in the Laurentians, at Hotel Le Chantecler ( www.lechantecler.com ), approximately 45 minutes north of Montreal.

After consulting with many people, this is what we have come up with:

This will be a 5-round event with 1 game per day to allow everyone to enjoy this incredible tourist location where we have negotiated an incredible hotel rate!

There will be lots of chess of course...but we will also be offering special activities!

                    Get full details at: http://www.chess-math.org/superfest2012/

What this string of tournaments now needs is a cooperative effort to produce a tour pamphlet in full colour describing the attractions in all the locations where these tournaments will take place. The pamphlets could then be circulated in clubs and tournaments in Europe with the objective of drawing some brave souls who might attempt a complete tour. Someone would need to work hard and very fast to get the pamphlet printed by May 1st say, for distribution. The cost could be borne by the tournaments under the formula>>>>

Participating cost = no. of days in your event/ total length of tour (80days?)

So if you run an eight day tourney, you pay 8/80 or 1/10th of the total cost

                      Any comments?
This would definately be a cooperative chess coalition!:)

We'd gladly " lend " our name temporarily to the happy warriors for the time needed! We wouldn't go for any injunction!

This is a good idea Vlad. Not sure a group discount is required but group edvertizing makes sense to me...we can put together the pamphlet...any volunteers re a mailing list and perhaps e-mail list also.

Why don't you make one in pdf format and them mail it out to the major clubs and each one can print out a few for its members
