  • Quebec Open - round 3

There are Monroi problems (illegal/ambiguous/omitted moves) in 4 of the Invitational games in round 3 - I'll wait until someone compares the moves with the opponent's scoresheets before posting any more.

MonRoi does not show/transmit newest games either!

Results, pairings, photos, and the top 4 boards (DGT - live), and about a dozen Monroi live games are at:

        http://echecsmontreal.ca/coq/suivre.html

Sorry - only 3 live DGT games today.

I don't understand... MonRoi is (and was) working fine. Which browser are you using?

And you can't see anything with the following link? http://www.monroi.com/watch/?tnm_id=1627

If there's an error message, just close it.

What has it happened to Noritsyn-Hansen's game? Vanished?

Does anybody know if that game has been finished? In such case what it is the result?

                      Noritsyn-Hansen game

A very interesting game between team Canada members Nikolay Noritsyn and Eric Hansen at the Quebec Open. I think Eric showed that right now he is the second best player in Canada.

Reminds of the old joke that ends with still searching:-) Among the active players I think that Sambuev still needs to be given the edge. Ok, Kevin Spraggett is even higher rated, but since he hasn't played in Canada in many years, its hard to put him as the strongest in Canada.

I guess it depends on how you define "in Canada". Canadian citizen? Canadian resident? Wesley So? Anton Kovalyov? They are among the best "in Canada".
