Its interesting that GM Anton Kovalyov is still listed on the Argentinian team. I am sure that they could have removed him by now if they wanted him, since the Russians were able to remove Morozevich and the Azerbaizhanis removed Gashimov.

Well I see Kovalyov is finally off the Argentina list. Apparently would have cost them 100 euros to fix that too.

The news from Turkey is that this board order will stick.

The only event was that Bator was held at the border for long time (he has a special passport) and finally he was allowed to enter after the organizers discuss it with border authorities.

How does someone get a WCM title without getting a rating?

Yes, I saw the poor fellow when he finally arrived just before the Technical Meeting at 8pm. He looked fine, but it must have been a drag, I believe almost 10 hours? At the time, I was in line yet again for an identity card, as none had been issued for me, even though one official insisted that Henry Peng had been given my accreditation card, lol!

If they award it for performance like we do the FM/IM titles in our Zonal, then conceivably she could play 9 games against opponents all without FIDE ratings, earn the required # of points for the title to be awarded, and still not receive a FIDE rating because she didn't play enough opponents who were FIDE rated. Yeah?

There are automatic titles for WYCC events. Some of the younger girls probably don't play enough rated opponents to get a rating.

Does it mean "youngest ever match"?

Meh, WCM titles are pointless anyway. It's like getting a milestone on ICC. Sure it's cool and all but at the end of the day, no one really cares.
