Re: Canadian teams board order according to chess-results

The news from Turkey is that this board order will stick.

The only event was that Bator was held at the border for long time (he has a special passport) and finally he was allowed to enter after the organizers discuss it with border authorities.Last edited by Andrei Botez; Monday, 27th August, 2012, 08:06 PM.

Yes, I saw the poor fellow when he finally arrived just before the Technical Meeting at 8pm. He looked fine, but it must have been a drag, I believe almost 10 hours? At the time, I was in line yet again for an identity card, as none had been issued for me, even though one official insisted that Henry Peng had been given my accreditation card, lol!Originally posted by Andrei Botez View PostThe news from Turkey is that this board order will stick.

 Re: Round 1 pairings

If they award it for performance like we do the FM/IM titles in our Zonal, then conceivably she could play 9 games against opponents all without FIDE ratings, earn the required # of points for the title to be awarded, and still not receive a FIDE rating because she didn't play enough opponents who were FIDE rated. Yeah?Originally posted by Christopher Mallon View PostHow does someone get a WCM title without getting a rating?

 Re: Round 1 pairings

Meh, WCM titles are pointless anyway. It's like getting a milestone on ICC. Sure it's cool and all but at the end of the day, no one really cares.Originally posted by Christopher Mallon View PostHow does someone get a WCM title without getting a rating?Shameless self-promotion on display here
