I suppose most of you are following the London Classic but I thought I'd mention that the Live Commentary is very worth watching. Next round is tomorrow morning. http://www.londonchessclassic.com/index.htm

Magnus makes the other players look incredibly "normal" while he plays at a "genius" level! :D

Unfortunately they play "normal". Aronian and Vichy Ananad are struggling with their form for a long time now, not just in this tournament. Magnus is the only one who really enjoys playing, and it shows beautifully, like in today's destroyment of Polgar. I wish he will reach 3000 level.

My congratulations to Magnus Carlsen, who just passed my 13-year-old rating record while dominating the tournament in London. Born on April 13 and the 13th World Champion, 13 was always "my" number, so it is appropriate. Nor is it a surprise that it is Magnus to achieve it! He has rare gifts, and one of them is the will and work ethic to make the most of the others.
