  • Attention! Canadian Junior now in critical competitive stage!

All quiet on the chesstalk front. Ive been enjoying the Canadian Junior games and now with IM Richard Wang losing (sorry Richard! - Im just trying to drum up the crowd - maybe snoozing on too much Christmas turkey) we are in for a big fight with the leaders!!

IM Wang probably shouldn't have lost his last game, but it makes the tournament much more interesting!

Intersting to watch, though I have time only for finished games. (All are sick in family. Still hoping to get better for the tomorrow's visit)

Some players will probably lose a lot of rating points.

          Great Chess!

There is some great competitive chess being played at the Canadian Junior. Not least by Joey Qin, three-time Ottawa and RA Club champion who has yet to give up a full point.
There will no doubt be disappointments but from a distance it appears all the participants are worthy of hearty congratulations.
I would not presume to judge the games as the lowest-rated would make a meal out of me but there does appear to be some great fighting chess.
Congratulations also to Larry Bevand and company for a great tournament.
          Hats off to all.

A great tournament to follow. Larry kudos to you & your team for organizing this. The winner truly qualifies to represent Canada at world junior...
