    I used cb11 ... used copy and paste and put it into Microsoft Works Word Processor and as I'm typing this out, I'm thinking that is where the problem may be.

        Right. Didn't realize Word was going to mess up the notation.

          the only Microsoft product that won't screw up the formatting is notepad.

          Simplest solution if you're using ChessBase and want to post the most useful data you have recorded (incl. dates, rounds, annotator):

          Save the completed database as PGN, then either:
          a) post the PGN as an attachment, or
          b) open the PGN in Notepad, select all, copy, then paste into your post.

            You can also use Wordpad. I find that it forces regular "carriage returns" so that the game text doesn't appear as one (or maybe two) long lines which scroll off the right-hand side of the screen.
