George, yes, the 7-round tournament will come from Aug 2 to Aug 5, you can find details here, hopefully will see you again there!

Yes there is one coming up (and in http://www.torontochessnews.com/ it was advertised by the Kitchener chess club). Stay tuned for the next issue for another possible forthcoming ad of another tournament coming up there as well.

On the http://www.chess.ca site, is there a way to advertise a club tournament to the newsfeed (who is the best contact)? Has the site also thought about using something like an iCal format calendar sharing download (ie make the proposals to the calendar approvable by a select team of IOs before they choose to release the tournament ads publicly to the website) for organizers who are interested in planning tournaments on the same weekends where the majority of the players might choose one tournament to another, based on extra traveling time or entry fee or other similar entry conditions? Allowing calendar-sharing chess files to be downloadable to things like mobile devices seems to be a good idea, but is it something that the site is able to be designed to distribute (since the number of members is larger than the size of the local club alone).

        Hi Kai,
You can submit a tournament to the Newsfeed (http://chess.ca/newsfeed/) to the following address : cfc.newsfeed@gmail.com

However, I think Roman just published an ad of this tournament.
