  • Chess Forums (UK) vs Chess Talk (Canada) from move 7...

Just to make it a little easier to follow the game. I have stuck the game to the top of the page. Here are the moves so far with Canada to move:

    1. d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4. e4 d6 5.Nf3 0-0 6.Be2 e5 7. 0-0

If someone could help by posting the diagram, that would be helpful...I am technically challenged :)

Suggestions so far for Canada lean towards 7....Nc6

Last night read a game from Chess on the Edge with a very similar position, where Suttles played exd4 and earned an (!) from the annotators. The idea was in part that we could gang up on the newly exposed e pawn and create pressure. We have potential to blockade the remaining c and e pawns, and can also chase whatever out of d4 if we so choose.

      Hi Larry:

There are 2 more games - if they are still in progress - I'll jump them up to the top for you if I can locate them in past posts. Can they also be made stickies if they are still going. Thanks.

The other thread had voted on Nc6, which I then posted over at the UK.

          1. d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4. e4 d6 5.Nf3 0-0 6.Be2 e5 7. 0-0 Nc6
Brick walls hurt, but are effective for banging against repeatedly. For future reference, cardboard walls are fun too :)

              I vote 8...Ng4 - I always like to chase the B !!

P.S. I see that our international games are no longer " stickies " again.
