Some Basics
1. Under Board "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQs) there are 3 sections dealing with General Forum Usage, User Profile Features, and Reading and Posting Messages. 2. Consider using the SEARCH button if you are looking for information. You may find your question has already been answered in a previous thread.
3. If you've looked for an answer to a question, and not found one, then you should consider asking your question in a new thread. For example, there have already been questions and discussion regarding: how to do chess diagrams (FENs); crosstables that line up properly; and the numerous little “glitches” that every new site will have.
4. Read pinned or sticky threads, like this one, if they look important. This applies especially to newcomers.
5. Read the thread you're posting in before you post. There are a variety of ways to look at a thread. These are covered under “Display Modes”.
6. Thread titles: please provide some details in your thread title. This is useful for a number of reasons. It helps ChessTalk members to quickly skim the threads. It prevents duplication of threads. And so on.
7. Unnecessary thread proliferation (e.g., deliberately creating a new thread that duplicates existing discussion) is discouraged. Look to see if a thread on your topic may have already been started and, if so, consider adding your contribution to the pre-existing thread. However, starting new threads to explore side-issues that are not relevant to the original subject is strongly encouraged. A single thread on the Canadian Open, with hundreds of posts on multiple sub-topics, is no better than a dozen threads on the Open covering only a few topics. Use your good judgment when starting a new thread.
8. If and/or when sub-forums are created, please make sure to create threads in the proper place.
Debate
9. Give an opinion and back it up with a reason. Throwaway comments such as "Game X pwnz because my friend and I think so!" could be considered pointless at best, and inflammatory at worst.
10. Try to give your own opinions, not simply those copied and pasted from reviews or opinions of your friends.
Unacceptable behavior and warnings
11. In registering here at ChessTalk please note that the same or similar rules apply here as applied at the previous Boardhost message board. In particular, the following content is not permitted to appear in any messages:

Helping to Moderate
13. 'Report' links (an exclamation mark inside a triangle) can be found in many places throughout the board. These links allow users to alert the board staff to anything which is offensive, objectionable or illegal. Please consider using this feature if the need arises.

This group of Dr's gave an interesting presentation in Washington DC today. Almost all of them have personally saved thousands of lives with early intervention of COVID19 pt's. They did not subscribe to upside down medicine of not treating early. Please listen carefully to this video and then tell me if you think when politicians are saying "we follow the science" it is actually the opposite.
If I am not mistaken you are a physician so I would be interested in hearing your comments about this video.

Biden is going to lose all four of those states. A good straw poll will be the viewership ratings for the Trump Town hall on NBC which is scheduled at the same time as the Biden Town Hall on ABC.
Biden will win between 279 and 412 electoral college votes
Bob like in 2016 a new phenomena has happened where pollsters encounter "shy trump voters" and will tell pollsters the opposite of their intention. The only group that conducts polls taking this into account is The Trafalgar Pollsters that ask a series of short questions like "Who do you expect your neighbor to vote for?".
This polling company was the only pollster in 2016 that correctly called all of the battle ground states and correctly called the 2018 midterms as well. Here is the link to very interesting data points that are significantly different than polling companies that continue to use older methodologies. Trump not looking good in PA but strong in other states according to their methodology.

There is uncertainty in a lot of areas where we nevertheless have to take decisions, but when one combines best-available data with empathy and humility, it becomes a little easier to take those decisions, which may be different in different scenarios (for example, if the president or the PM or the premiers would have simply pointed out the best-available data (scarce as it is) about masks to the public, and point out that the decision for someone travelling in a crowded train or walking on a crowded street or someone within a large group, would be different than for someone living in a fortress, less people would hate masks out of rebellion towards politicians); the reason mask wearing has become so emotionally charged in USA is because it has become a factor in who wins the elections...

Just wondering, is it ok that a number of people in high posts in Trump's administration have donated to him? If the moderator's donations should exclude her, should actual important jobs also be off the table? If donations get you a job you are not qualified for, shouldn't someone like Betsy DeVos be your first target? Absolutely no knowledge of public education, but got the job. At least the moderator is a journalist.
Personally, I do not think that the moderator makes much of a difference if Trump is going to say things like "stand down and stand by" while he interrupts like a crackhead.
It appears that there is an overlap between donators and getting a position. Perhaps if someone gets a position, all the money they gave the campaign/candidate should be transferred out of the party coffers to a well-known charity.

Usually, they only get jobs as ambassadors, but Trump put some of them directly into his cabinet. I know you are a thoughtful and principled person on these issues, so I am sure that you are aware of the arguments against Trump. One of them is that he criticized Hillary saying she would put Wall Street executives into her cabinet. Then he turned around and put more in than any other president in the past. And many of them donated to his election campaign.
As for the moderator, the conservatives had Wallace for the first one, so it is hard to argue life is unfair.
And to be clear, being a conservative is fine. I have some of those tendencies myself sometimes. However, Trump is a f-ing clown and to defend him based on facts is difficult. Hunter Biden making money in Ukraine? How about the patents Ivanka got from China? I wonder who will make more because of what their last name was?
I would rather Trump supporters say he is an idiot, and bad at his job, but he is giving me what I want and I don't care about other people's livelihood, which is the truth if they were able to be honest.
