Thanks for posting the games Omar. The Bator Sambuev game rd 1 has a problem with queen moves.

Great to have all the information on standings, pairings, and live games!!! My compliments and thanks!!!

Question on pairings, though, for round 5:
Standings after four rounds show a 5-way tie for first at 4.0, perfect scores. This has GM Paragua (USA), GM Ortiz (Cuba), IM Noritsyn (Canada), IM Rodrigue-Lemieux (Canada), and Ryan Campbell (Canada, unrated).
For round 5, we have GM Paragua vs. GM Ortiz, and IM Noritsyn vs. IM Rodrigue-Lemieux, paired within the score group. No issues there. But Ryan Campbell, the lowest rated of the lead score group, is paired down out of the score group (correct) with a player who has 3.0 points, not with one with 3.5 points. One would think pairing rules require him to play someone with 3.5, whom he has not already played, which would mean anyone in that score group, at this juncture. Is this a mistake by the arbiters, or a conscious design to tinker with the pairings to improve norm chances, or something else?
Note that I have taken and passed the FIDE Arbiter course, in 2010, jointly taught by IA / IO Hal Bond, who is head arbiter / organizer here!
The moment unconventional practices with pairings start being used in a national championship, is the moment when some people start questioning whether there is an 'agenda' at work. Sorry, but that is the case.
I really believe this needs an explanation, on the record, from the top of the team.

                  One more thing:
Board one assignment is a prestige thing. So far, for all five rounds, we have had GM Hambleton on board one, even though for round 5, he has 3/4, trailing several other players. Will he continue to occupy board one for the rest of the tournament? One would think it would be one of the score leaders on board one.

                  Keep up the good work!

                  Cheers,
                  Frank Dixon

Two words: accelerated pairings. Note the ghost points in Omar's pairing posts which are not reflected in the published standings.

OK. This has the makings of a really good TV movie.
