GM Gukesh a member of India 2 has a perfect score 6 out of 6. When you break down his opponents - two IM's and 4 GM's its still incredible! I especially like his last two games against Shirov and lovely calculation against Sargissian.

Yes, very impressive indeed!! But, how is it possible for GM Gukesh to have a performance rating of 3335? This would imply seven straight wins, which he does have, against opponents rated average 2935, and we know World Champion Carlsen's rating, highest in the world, is below that! This is what is listed on the chess-results.com site for GM Gukesh, after round 7. Or is the Rp referring to something else!?

I agree. It was 2935 after 7 rounds and is now 2966. Somehow 400 got added to to his average Rp instead of adding to his opponents' average rating, in error, I believe...Originally posted by Frank Dixon View PostYes, very impressive indeed!! Gukesh at 2725 and the guy is sixteen. Fischer like at 16. The Uzbekistan team is very young and they are all talented. China must be similar. Change of guard for the top nations.
I thought Abdusaturov had a fluke WC but that guy will also be top 10.
