It seemed impossible but Sam Sevian saved his game against Fabiano Caruana and Ray Robson won so they are now half a point apart. Ray has won three in a row.

In the womens Megan Lee wins and Irina Krush draws so Megan is now in the clear lead. Alice Lee set up a nasty trick and won against Nazi Paikidze. The Lees continue to shine.Comment

Technically you are right (regarding two knight defence) but my understanding Yasser lumped in the Na5, Bb5+, c6 ,dxc6 variation in with the name Fried Liver. We both grew up with that opening being one of the first we ever learned and we always referred to it as the Fried Liver.Comment

A fascinating endgame of bishop's of opposite colours has resulted.
Caruana vs Liang quite a tussle. Will Caruana's good bishop triumph over the knight in the endgame. Liang has done well so far with the knight.
Awonder Liang holds a draw with superb play.

Alice Lee has managed to transpose to 4 pawns vs a rook in the endgame against Irina Krush. Fascinating. I once had 4 connected pawns vs a rook in a tournament game and lost trying too hard to win.

In the womens a big upset by Thalia Cervantes over Megan Lee. Thalia had mainly draws until she started winning 3 games ago. Good time to get hot.
Its admirable to see young Alice Lee with her fighting spirit. She just drew Zatonskih.
