Rd 11 Both Caruana and Robson drew and Dominguez and Sevian won big. Caruana has 7.5, Robson 7 and Dominguez and Sevian are one point back.

Rd 11 in the womens both Irina Krush and Jennifer Yu won and with Jennifer leading by half a point they play each other in rd 12. Probably Irina Krush's last chance at this years title.

Hope Fabiano wins the championship. He had an awful year, but he is still quite a player. Maybe he could become WC without Magnus, but he has so many strong young players to compete against.Comment

Rd 12 Irina Krush did it! She won the key game as black against Jennifer Yu with nice middle game tactics and is now alone in first with 8.5 and one round left to go. Thalia Cervantes also won and is tied for second with Jennifer Yu both a half point back.Comment

Fabiano Caruana and Ray Robson both drew their games. Hans Niemann scored a huge upset win against Sam Sevian with wild crazy middlegame tactics which led to a wild potential pawn race in the endgame. Wesley So also won.Comment

After twelve that means Fabian Caruana in the lead with 8, Ray Robson with 7.5, Lenier Dominguez with 7 and Awonder Liang with 7 after winning a tortuously long game! and at least 5 players with 6.5. So, Sevian picks up Niemann's king, the cross was broken off the top, put the king back on the wrong square, picks it up again and tries to jam the cross back on... what on earth was going on.
