ChessBoxing has been around for at least 2-3 years.

A search for "chessboxing" on YouTube gives 341 hots - including this video of the World Championship in Germany, July 2008.

Chess Boxing has been around for over a decade, however it got its official status when the WCBO formed in 2003.

Vitaly Klitchko and Lennox Lewis helped make it popular when they showed their interest in the sport.

That could be a profanation of chess in some way too.

Hula-hooping and chessboxing is definitely out for most chess players. 98% simply do not have the agility nor the stamina. I have heard of chess-tennis tournaments. I think there may have been an exhibition chess-tennis tournament in the 1990's that Spassky and possibly Karpov played in.
