The first round games of the Pro Section are attached. Sambuev played an instructive miniature against Demmery. Generally speaking, the visiting members of the Olympic squad also had a strong first round.

Re: 2010 Guelph Fall ProAm
The file has been updated again, this time featuring the inclusion of games from round 3. I have a handful of game scores that are indecipherable, so I don't think we will manage to submit a complete set of games from the Pro Section. Apologies in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.Attached Files

Anyhow, here's an interesting game played in CC. Morgado still has a FIDE rating over 2200 and is probably in his 60's. It has a bit of a game Reggio Emila 1979 event and Bled 1993. Maybe it will give some of the Chess Talk theory hounds some enterainment this afternoon. In the Demmery game, I thought 9. Nf5 might have been a bit optomistic. Also, I like 7. a3 better.

Re: 2010 Guelph Fall ProAm
Another update. The games available after round 5 will likely be dealt with tomorrow. Chess players need to invest in one of dem tings what tells time, by the way. A certain group of repeat offenders, which will remain unnamed, continue to hound me for the time. Luckily, I have it written down on a piece of paper: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSSGiA4f5cs.Attached Files
