  • Quebec Open Question

What's the news about the quebec open this year? I'm trying to find some info on it but my googling skills are pretty bad. Is it going to be like last year with some invitations to local players?

    Thanks

Its too bad the Edmonton International seems to fall on the same dates as the Quebec Open again this year. The good news is that it looks like for the next few years that wouldn't be the case.

          Re: Quebec Open Question

Thanks for the link guys, apparently I'm going to Quebec open after Canadian Open, is there anyone who's coming as well who wants to chill/room with me? Most likely I'll stay in Toronto for a few days after the Canadian Open and taking the bus to Quebec. I'm not sure what accommodations are available there but it should be fun. If interested, send a message here or to my email so we can work something out.

            Re : Quebec Open Question

You can stay directly at the Brebeuf college residences (30$ / night, 58$ with 3 meal). There is also the Hôtel Terrasse Royale http://www.terrasse-royale.com/ (109$ /night or 650$ for 7 nights if you ask the chess special fee). Of course these are the two nearest places to sleep, but there are lots of hotels in Montreal :)

              Re: Quebec Open Question

The only other accommodations within a (reasonable) walking distance of the Quebec Open site would be the student residences at the Université de Montréal: http://www.studioshotel.ca/index.php?lang=en&d=h

Otherwise - downtown Montreal is at least half an hour away - by bus and/or metro, or even by car (lots of construction and impossible-to-find parking).
