Now that FIDE. has sorted out the WYCC, the CMA will be moving ahead with the organization of the NAYCC in Toronto from Aug 15-18. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary in TO this year! Thanks to Hal Bond and the CFC for giving us this mandate. CMA Toronto Director Francis Rodrigues will be responsible for this event. Details to follow.

Great news!!

This could be a great opportunity for youngsters to have great competition at a low price. If it is anything like the one in Montreal a few years ago, I will strongly encourage Quebec young players to participate in it.

Just an idea, change the date for CMA-CC to be right before/after NAYCC, I am sure you can see the benefits of a change like that.

We're in the final stages of confirming the venue - one of those
centrally downtown (near City Hall), currently have 175 rooms,
and looking for more! We're anticipating a goodish turnout :-)

I should have the website built by this weekend, when all
will be revealed - registration, categories, titles achievable,
facilities, promotions, etc.....and....it's open to all (N. Americans!)

A teaser -

A $20 Strategy Games gift-certificate to the first name drawn, to
correctly predict the name of the venue, by Sunday midnite 7 April!
