    • Rd 11 Ding Van Foreest first game to finish quick draw. However I would like to point out Whites remarkable central pawn formation. The only comment to add is that you would need a knight or two to advance it and sadly both knights have been exchanged.

      • Rd 11 Gukesh Firoujza - a Grunfeld! the reason for the exclam is we havent seen a Grunfeld until now in this tournament. I like watching this line. Gukesh is extremely well prepared and I love the way he uses his pawns in this opening' especially the last lever F5! Hope the dynamics comtinue.

        • Rd 11 Same with Pragga! Energetic is 14.f4! not because of traditional firm support on the strong E5 knight but to continue with F5!

            • Rd 11 Wei Yi Warmerdam This opening I know from the past. Another happy adventure for the fans to enjoy.

              • In the challengers Rd 11 the computer shows equal signs throughout the games. The only one with a spicy attack is Roebers hmmmm. The position is interesting.

                  • Erwin has another endgame and a good knight to boot (pun intended)

                    • Abdusattarov finished with 30.Qa6 much better than the mundane Bxf7+. As he played it he wins the queen. Nice win.

                      • Rd 11 Gukesh certainly tried to win getting the two rooks for the queen but Firoujza held the balance so draw.

                        • As a result of the Abdusattarov win and the Gukesh draw, Abdusattarov is in clear first with two rounds to go.

                          • So I was wondering how Vidit would get the luckless king on e2. No direct knockout but eventually because of tempos to get the king out of the center the position collapses. Nice win by Vidit with a big assist from Maghsoodloo. (smiles)

                            • Rd 11 Warmerdam had his pyrotechnique and scrambled a lot of pawns but Wei Yi had one passed ppawn and that was all he needed. Wei Yi comes alive at the right time and his and Vidit's big wins assure them of a tie for third.

                              • Rd 11 In the challengers Maurizzi strikes again this time with positional chess and striking queen moves. You might say he is running away with the tournament.
