https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1044392 Delicious try by Spassky. Fischer looks hamstrung but finds a way out.

https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1044394 Huge entertainment. At first I was flummoxed! How could this not be a win? Fischer had all the trumps. But Spassky pulled off the stalemate trick several times and virtually all the other endgame tricks in the book. Draw. Unbelievable.

https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1044751 and then after the stalemate Houdini game Spassky puts on a display in this one. Fischer started the melee with two central pawn levers to which Spassky replies Ne2, Nxf4, Nd3, Nxe5 and then Nc4! and eventually the knight fork on d6. Huge entertainment again.

https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1044395 Huge entertainment again! Spassky initiates with the central pawn lever d5 but in the process loses a pawn. A look at the position at move 35 shows Fischer with an incredible dominating knight outpost on d6. and then he exchanges it to win another pawn. Two pawns down! Has Spassky finally bitten off more than he can chew? No-o-o!!! Spassky triples on the third rank! and slowly starts to win pawns back and should have drawn.

https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1044396 More entertainment. Fischer dominates with knights on d5 and f6 but Spassky staunchly defends. An incredible endgame is reached where it still looks like Fischer is better but than Spassky's king goes for a stroll all the way to c2. Both sides queen pawns but Spassky's queen and bishop chase Fischer's king around the board. A vintage Spassky endgame.

https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1044753 Another endgame. Spassky meekly exchanges the white square bishop but then gets going to where he creates a passed C-pawn which gets blockaded.

https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1044741 Oh my! Oh my! Spassky sents pawns to f4,g5,h6 and Fischer escapes to the endgame, but is it an escape? Fischer hems in Spassky's knight on h1 but Spassky zigzags his king up the A+B files to win the rook pawn. The bishops play a role dominating over the knights and finally the white squared bishop sacks on g6 to create another passed rook pawn.
Definitely an IMMORTAL SPASSKY ENDGAME!!!

https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1044399 Another vintage Spassky endgame. Spassky makes no attempt to win it but the position speaks for itself.
