Bob, you might not have seen my email, but I wanted to discuss this and the OCA AGM.

If you get a chance, please reply to that email with potential phone times this weekend.

    Thanks!

Just wondering if anyone is driving to the tournament site from Toronto and has extra space in their car. Definitely willing to chip in gas money.

          Daniel and Mike:
I am seriously considering about attending this event.
However, I would be driving in from Ottawa on the Friday night and wouldn't reach the GTA area until around 11PM ... then Hamilton much later.
I don't need gas money, but if anyone is thinking of sharing accomodation expenses, that would be a great help.

            Re: Ontario Open 2011

I am driving from Windsor and intend to be in Hamilton Friday night. I called Mohawk but nobody answered the phone, even during business hours. I have sent an email and did not get a reply yet. Was anybody successful? Any ideas of other options?

                Hi all,

I would say keep trying to get something at Mohawk College or McMaster University. Use their operators to get somebody on the phone. If you are deciding to rent a hotel room, there are some hotels that will allow you to rent a room that has two beds and allow you to put a bunk bed in for a small added charge. It's not common in all the hotels but it's worth a shot if you are doing the hotel option. I would still try the colleges and university though.

I'm having trouble deciding on whether i sould play in the ontario open, or the ontario youth chess championships. My dad said he would take me to one, but I don't know which one to choose Could someone give me any ideas? I would appreciate it :)

Here you go Bob another big bump for the Ontario Open, so your not the only one doing it :D

Hi billy, i'd be willing to share accomodation expenses especially if you are willing to drive there. Where are you planning to stay?

Hi Zachary, both tournaments are probably gonna be good but Ontario Open is a bit more high level especially if you're playing in open. I was considering going to the youth one myself but decided it probably isn't worth it. But that's your decision

Bob, the entry fee is 70$ for both tournaments. Money doesnt grow on trees! ;)
