Everyone is keeping an eye on the States (how can you not?) but what about Brazil and India, even Mexico, and other countries with a lot of street life (homeless and poor). The death toll will be mounting (thats even if they can keep track).
COVID-19 ... how we cope :)

Clearly the U.S. is leading Canada by such a wide pro-rata margin due to Trump's excellent pandemic management! And now that the U.S. has elected a Trump once, we all know that they can do it again (and again, and ...). Who will ever trust America again?Originally posted by Bob Gillanders View Post
Yup, I was watching for this milestone as well.
Yesterday's numbers
USA
New Cases - 71,787
Deaths - 849
Canada
New Cases - 321
Deaths - 10
So keep that border closed.
At the current rate, USA should hit 2% infected in about 2 months, with deaths nearing 200,000.

I feel sorry for Brazil. They're trying so hard to catch up to the U.S. in absolute numbers but Trump just won't let them.Originally posted by Hans Jung View PostEveryone is keeping an eye on the States (how can you not?) but what about Brazil and India, even Mexico, and other countries with a lot of street life (homeless and poor). The top ten countries are now delineated by 300,000+ cases. South Africa and Mexico are newcomers but will soon be 5th and 6th. UK (England and Scotland) will be there soon.
The big 4 are US (approaching 4,000,000), Brazil 2,000,000+, India 1,000,000+ and Russia 750,000+

Two days ago Mike Pence said that schools should ignore the CDC and just reopen schools regardless of what their guidelines say, and today Kayleigh McEnany said that "the science should not stand in the way" of reopening schools before then claiming that the science is on their side, even though it's still very inconclusive and the risk of being wrong is massive. Crazy shit.Last edited by Lucas Davies; Thursday, 16th July, 2020, 07:53 PM.

Do you actually think that he meant that, or do you think that he misspoke and said million instead of thousand?Originally posted by Neil Frarey View PostTrump vs Biden in the upcoming 2020 Presidential debates ... grab your popcorn.

I have no idea what that guy means ... ever.
Can't wait for the debates to get onto the topic about ethics and bring up quid pro quo ...

You could just Google it and find the answer in 30 seconds: the video you linked is intentionally cut off to leave out the part where he corrects himself immediately afterwards.
Biden was one of the people involved in getting the Ukrainian prosecutor fired because the prosecutor wouldn't pursue corruption cases:
This information is very easy to find. You should probably read some articles instead of watching edited and out of context propaganda on Youtube. The U.S. plan to push for Shokin’s dismissal didn’t initially come from Biden, but rather filtered up from officials at the U.S. Embassy in Kiev, according to a person with direct knowledge of the situation. Embassy personnel had called for U.S. loan guarantees to Ukraine to be tied to broader anti-corruption efforts, including Shokin’s dismissal, this person said.
Biden’s threat to withhold $1 billion if Ukraine didn’t crack down on corruption reportedly came in March. That same month, hundreds of Ukrainians demonstrated outside President Petro Poroshenko’s office demanding Shokin’s resignation, and he was dismissed.

It's still quid pro quo (or was it simple bribery?) ... whether or not you find it acceptable is irrelevant. It's still illegal. Tuff to be honest? And speaking of honesty ...then there's the Mueller Report flop and there's the infamous Christopher Steele dossier, HA!
On & on & on ...these debates will be pure gold :))))
