Anyways, one official vote for 20. ...Rf7 and one unofficial vote.

Any other ideas or should I post?
Brick walls hurt, but are effective for banging against repeatedly. For future reference, cardboard walls are fun too :)

I must say we've reached a very interesting position ! I hope maybe some new ChessTalkers will look at it and get interested enough to join our international ChessTalk team.

Well after Nf6+ it seems we're in a little trouble...
              Nf6+ - Bxf6
              Bxd8 - Rxb7
Bxf6 is good for white. Moving the king allows Nxd5 and Qxf6 hangs out rook...
              Any suggestions?

              • Black Prospects at Move 23.

                Hi Alexandru

21...Bxf6 seems fine ( as you say neither a K-move nor Q-move are good ).

If we get to 23.Bxf6, do we not simply play 23....dxc4? The game would seem relatively equal still.

                    This starts the exchanges - I vote 21...Bxf6 ( don't think we'd better capture with anything else ! ).

                      Hello,
I hope you welcome everyone's input for this very interesting game.
The resulting position from the exchanges seems to favor white but i find black may have enough counter pressure after 23. ...,d4 instead of taking on c4. This limits the bishop's scope, blocks center lines for the white rooks, and finally creates it's own threats of promoting. The rook on b7 stays active and white's b3 could be met with advancing the a7 pawn (after black's g4) to mess up the queen side and set white on defense.
I saw some interesting lines but maybe i'm just not strong enough to get the position.

Qxf6 is am exchange sac. Might be worth it for the position we get. All pieces attackin king. This requires careful analysis before jumping that way.

                              Update:

                              Two votes for 21. ...Bxf6.
An unofficial vote for 21. ...Qxf6.

I would be interested in what Alan Baljeu had in mind with 21. ...Qxf6.
