Re: THE NEW One and Only Climate Change Whatever...
Paul why is it that when people issue negative opinions on AGW you complain that they are in big oil's pockets and then you turn around and post every Chicken Little theory by big oil proponents. Is big oil bad only when it disagrees with you?
You are just in love with doomsday theories.
There is a branch of financial analysis of investments which relies on technical analysis of price patterns. Just eyeballing the graphs in those reports it is readily apparent that prices are still showing a downward trend. Maybe Gary will be kind enough to enlighten you. At the top end the graphs seem to be stable with no indication that there is support for higher price levels. Maybe they will break through and show support for higher prices but that hasn't happened yet.
You and your friend Jeremy Grantham who prepared that report are a big proponent of the teachings of Malthus but your and his behaviour in having two or three (?!) children clearly shows that you don't believe that action should be taken by yourself but rather by other unspecified people. Here is a clue: most people will not do as you say but rather as you do so please try to get real. Jeremy Grantham is selling something that I'm not buying.
If you really believe that he is right you should be investing your money in such a way that you bet that his conclusions are correct. I wouldn't advise it, though. You will lose your shirt if you do.
