General Guidelines
---- Nous avons besoin d'un traduction français!
Some Basics
1. Under Board "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQs) there are 3 sections dealing with General Forum Usage, User Profile Features, and Reading and Posting Messages. These deal with everything from Avatars to Your Notifications. Most general technical questions are covered there. Here is a link to the FAQs. https://forum.chesstalk.com/help
2. Consider using the SEARCH button if you are looking for information. You may find your question has already been answered in a previous thread.
3. If you've looked for an answer to a question, and not found one, then you should consider asking your question in a new thread. For example, there have already been questions and discussion regarding: how to do chess diagrams (FENs); crosstables that line up properly; and the numerous little “glitches” that every new site will have.
4. Read pinned or sticky threads, like this one, if they look important. This applies especially to newcomers.
5. Read the thread you're posting in before you post. There are a variety of ways to look at a thread. These are covered under “Display Modes”.
6. Thread titles: please provide some details in your thread title. This is useful for a number of reasons. It helps ChessTalk members to quickly skim the threads. It prevents duplication of threads. And so on.
7. Unnecessary thread proliferation (e.g., deliberately creating a new thread that duplicates existing discussion) is discouraged. Look to see if a thread on your topic may have already been started and, if so, consider adding your contribution to the pre-existing thread. However, starting new threads to explore side-issues that are not relevant to the original subject is strongly encouraged. A single thread on the Canadian Open, with hundreds of posts on multiple sub-topics, is no better than a dozen threads on the Open covering only a few topics. Use your good judgment when starting a new thread.
8. If and/or when sub-forums are created, please make sure to create threads in the proper place.
Debate
9. Give an opinion and back it up with a reason. Throwaway comments such as "Game X pwnz because my friend and I think so!" could be considered pointless at best, and inflammatory at worst.
10. Try to give your own opinions, not simply those copied and pasted from reviews or opinions of your friends.
Unacceptable behavior and warnings
11. In registering here at ChessTalk please note that the same or similar rules apply here as applied at the previous Boardhost message board. In particular, the following content is not permitted to appear in any messages:
* Racism
* Hatred
* Harassment
* Adult content
* Obscene material
* Nudity or pornography
* Material that infringes intellectual property or other proprietary rights of any party
* Material the posting of which is tortious or violates a contractual or fiduciary obligation you or we owe to another party
* Piracy, hacking, viruses, worms, or warez
* Spam
* Any illegal content
* unapproved Commercial banner advertisements or revenue-generating links
* Any link to or any images from a site containing any material outlined in these restrictions
* Any material deemed offensive or inappropriate by the Board staff
12. Users are welcome to challenge other points of view and opinions, but should do so respectfully. Personal attacks on others will not be tolerated. Posts and threads with unacceptable content can be closed or deleted altogether. Furthermore, a range of sanctions are possible - from a simple warning to a temporary or even a permanent banning from ChessTalk.
Helping to Moderate
13. 'Report' links (an exclamation mark inside a triangle) can be found in many places throughout the board. These links allow users to alert the board staff to anything which is offensive, objectionable or illegal. Please consider using this feature if the need arises.
Advice for free
14. You should exercise the same caution with Private Messages as you would with any public posting.
The harrowing stories of atrocities against civilians in Ukraine are almost unimaginable. As too is that they are being committed in the name of liberating the country from "Satanic" forces. Juliet Samuel investigates Vladimir Putin's close connections with the Orthodox Church and why religion seems to be a driving force in the war.
And you and Sid may well be right about this. But how does the average person verify? I thought, check ESPN, surely America's number one sports site will have coverage of something that is potentially so very important for all of us. Couldn't find a mention of it. So what gives?

Stunning. Simply stunning over the course of history how many lives have been lost and how many more lives have suffered and lives who are suffering to this very moment for something that doesn't even exist.
Doesn't even exist. Stunning!
Huh?
So who is best qualified to play the God card? Or, in the broader sense, the Religion card?
"Miami Open Carnage??" And yet ESPN has nothing about this carnage?
Well, I do recall that ESPN went through a severe budget-cutting process something like 2 years ago. Perhaps ESPN is not the premiere sports network it once was.
China is starting to get overwhelmed by BA.2 Omicron. They are losing their battle, and they have just in the past day or two discovered 2 new variants not found anywhere else before. Looks to me like this Covid era is far from finished. The speed at which this virus mutates is breathtaking. Literally!!!
This seems to be the same item, under a different date, that you posted a few days ago. The link on that one was prefaced nz.sports. "CARNAGE" seems highly exaggerated. In a big tournament like the Miami Open there would likely be 300+ players in total in the men's, women's, and doubles' sections. 15 or 20 dropouts doesn't strike me as outlandish. Pro atheletes seem to be a temperamental group under heavy pressure. Don't see any unequivocally established link with vaccinations.

So on a more serious note :-) , over 500 athletes have died and we have news reports of over 800 collapses from 2021 to 2022. In prior years these types of news reports are very rare. This anonymous group https://goodsciencing.com/covid/athl...er-covid-shot/ went through the trouble of documenting all News stories of these reports. Over 800 links to news stores can be found at the bottom of their page.
The documentation effort of compiling all these news stories is actually quite impressive :-).
The Tennis tournament withdrawals were on account of health problems, not personal issues. The level of withdrawals is unheard of in any Tennis tournament. The pharma sponsored MSM simply does not want to report these gruesome facts.

Your sources are pharma corrupted. My sources have no financial benefit. Published science clearly shows a link between myocarditis and vascular damage and the injections as I already posted https://forum.chesstalk.com/forum/ch...011#post219011 here.
You said you were going to read the article on Brian Peackford's website about the "Trusted News Initiative" https://peckford42.wordpress.com/202...ws-initiative/ Have you yet and are you going to tell us that is not believable either?
An entire medical-political complex and media have absolutely been corrupted. You don't want to believe it, it is at your peril.
I put up 800 news stores outlining this but you want to believe 2+2=5 because Md's that are forced to tow the party line say so. Please explain why all of a sudden top Athletes in superb physical conditions are dropping dead by the hundreds. Even worst kids are now having myocarditis. When is the last time you ever heard of this...be intellectually honest with yourself.

I'm reading your post and thinking, c'mon Sid, tct-md looks like the real deal, what's your problem with it? So I dug deeper at their website and found this:
"The majority of funding for TCTMD is derived from unrestricted sponsorships and grants from medical device and pharmaceutical companies."
Well that's a little embarrassing (for me). And yes I've read the Peckford piece.

Thanks for that info, Sid, we'll have to keep an eye on the 2022 Tour De France for more on that.
Even in non-strenuous sports, it seems there is an increase in stresses on the athletes. I'm a fan of almost all sports, but baseball bores me (to watch) and to me the worst sport to watch is basketball. There is no such thing as defense in this sport. Every time a player has the ball, he could just charge to the basket (while dribbling of course) and finish off the charge with what they call a slam-dunk. If he charges hard enough, all the opposing players just get out of his way and the slam-dunk makes the highlight reel. Absolutely silly. But instead of everyone just doing this, they instead pass the ball around as if there's no way to the basket. What a farce! They are just time-wasting. They are highly paid to entertain the fans, and they are the most spoiled athletes of all time. It's a glorious life in the NBA, I should think. All you have to do is be a freak of nature and have some good coordination to dribble the basketball.
Well, anyway, here is a new story from yesterday... apparently today's NBA players, or at least the star players, are getting so tired and fatigued that they are dropping out of games, not even playing. It's some kind of a "crisis". Could it be related to Covid? These NBA games are only 48 minutes!!! These players don't even run, they most of the time are just standing around, and then they saunter down the court after a basket has been scored. So it is a joke of a sport to begin with, but apparently even this minimum level of activity is causing stress among the players. Here is the story...
I'm really beginning to think we are entering, at very early stage, a new era of increasing deaths due to the Covid jabs. The evidence is increasing, in more and more sports.
