Why not do a poll on that and gauge the opinion of the readers?

Anyone who has money on Anand must have got pretty excited after Carlsen's blunder, 26.Kd2? and let out several choice expletives after Anand's reply, 26. ...a4? Anand may have thrown away both the game and the match with that one move.

Magnus Carlsen won a dramatic sixth game at the world championship match in Sochi, Russia. In a better ending he blundered, but Viswanathan Anand did not see it. The score is 3.5-2.5; game six will be played on Monday

                    - Carlsen was fantastic today. Clearly the better player. They both made one blunder, and unfortunately for Anand, he was the one who made it later.

                    - I don't know if Anand can recover from this, this is probably going to be like last time after a tough loss Anand completely unraveled.

                    - Unbelievable! What a game! And the post game press conference was unreal to watch.
                    Vishy quote..."when you're not expecting a gift...sometimes you just don't take it..."

                    The old boy looked devastated.

                    - Everyone here in Norway almost fell off their chairs when they saw the stockfish analysis from 26. Kd2, and everyone were similarly relieved when Anand didn't see the correct continuation.

                    - 26. Kd2?? and then 26. ...a4??
                    26. ...Nxe5+ 27. Rxg8 Nxc4+ 28. Kd3 Nxb2+ 29. ...Rxg8 wins for Anand !

                    - Brutal! You hate to see a game like this, especially for the world championship. I hope Vishy can recover.

LOL. Is this already the worst WC match ever?

I have to think that Vishy had already decided to try a4 (not even sure why, but that is another issue) and he must have mentally 'assumed' Carlsen moved Kd1 and just automatically replied as he intended. Only then did he realize that Carlsen had blundered and put the king on d2. Shame really, but the over dramatic reaction by the peanut gallery is not warranted. It will be hard for Anand to recover in such a short match but the blunderfest is not his biggest problem: his poor choice of openings and match strategy (and lack of determination) is killing him.

I guess you are joking, right?

The level of play is incredibly high and only the all-seeing eye of the computer can make the players look like fools.

They both blundered on one move today. Big deal. It happens in all championship matches.

Saying that this is the worst WC match ever is selective memory at best.

The reverse is also true. The all-seeing eye of the computer can make a fool look like a player.

Most players, without computer aid, would not spot most of the errors which occur. The players do their best without computer aid and the match is not boring.

Carlsen's body language after Anand played 26. ...a4?? rather speaks volumes. The 'Hindustan Times' features a short (1:44) video of the "monumental blunder" and counter-blunder.
