What will generate immediate & near future radical remedies?
These Climate Scientists Are Fed Up and Ready to Go on Strike
Evidence on global warming is piling up. Nations aren’t acting. Some researchers are asking what difference more reports will make.

Weekly Stats: CT Anthropogenic Negative Climate Change Thread
Week # 9 (22/2/23 – 22/3/1)
..........................................................2022 Average............................................................... .....2022 Average
.............................Last Week's.......Views/Day...............................................Last Week's..........Views/Day.
Views/Day...........Views/Day...........(To Date)........Responses/Day......Responses/Day........ (To Date)
....56..........................67 .......................85..............................3...............................3 .............................5
Note: There is a flurry of activity when a thread starts, and then it tapers off and levels. This generally tends to keep the 2022 Average higher than a later weekly stable current rate for a long while.
Analysis
The core issue, IMHO, IS how to get society to perceive the issue as URGENT, as it is.
The solution to the above problem is very hard to see, I think. Climate activists around the world are trying to come up with some action plan that will be effective, both with the world public, and world governments.
Maybe we will come up with some types of viable suggestions to put out there to other concerned client activists, even though we are chess players!

Why Half a Degree of Global Warming Is a Big Deal
By BRAD PLUMER and NADJA POPOVICH OCT. 7, 2018 (An older article)
The Earth has already warmed 1 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) since the 19th century. Now, a major new United Nations report has looked at the consequences of jumping to 1.5 or 2 degrees Celsius.
Half a degree may not sound like much. But as the report details, even that much warming could expose tens of millions more people worldwide to life-threatening heat waves, water shortages and coastal flooding. Half a degree may mean the difference between a world with coral reefs and Arctic summer sea ice and a world without them.
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...eekly%20Planet
The warming is caused by greenhouse gases forming, at the top of the atmosphere, an impervious canopy that does not allow the reflected heat from the sun to escape. Thus the atmosphere is continuously warming.
Only immediate radical changes with respect to the sources of greenhouse gases can stop this. What are the needed changes?

Anthropogenic Positive Climate Change (APCC)
Council of Canadians (CC) Strategy
An amazing conversation (Video) we (CC) recently co-hosted with 350 Canada – with climate leaders Anjali Appadurai, Avi Lewis, and local organizers discussing the implications of the latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on the climate emergency, and how we organize to win critical climate action to transition off fossil fuels fast.
The climate emergency is here. We need Parliament to pass bold legislation that accelerates the transition to 100% renewable energy while creating millions of good, green jobs.
That’s why on March 12th, we’re teaming up with our friends at 350 Canada for a Day of Action for a just transition. Over 40 events are confirmed so far from coast-to-coast.
RSVP today for the Day of Action for a Just Transition
From coast-to-coast, we will visit MP offices and use creative visuals, theatrics, and art to show them the kinds of programs we need to transition off fossil fuels.
Our government doesn’t have a clear vision for a Just Transition so we’re bringing our vision to them.
