Thanks for the article. Science is a good magazine, and this is a good article. I'm on-board that Remdesivir is a bust.

It's worth noting that it's the WHO who end up saying the drug is ineffective. Conspiratorist's will claim that the FDA is in thrall with Big Pharma, and the WHO is beholden to China, and pick and chose which of their actions support them. Ultimately this is how the sausage gets made, and its not pretty. Actions and recommendations are made using insufficient data people are honestly trying to do what they think will save lives, and unfortunately mistakes get made, lives are lost, and the mob wants justice and blood. I do not envy any of the decision makers at the top levels. They are damned by us no matter what.

May I remind you that the WHO is the same organization that misled the entire world early on about COVID. They also are the same organization that sponsored a series of fraudulent RCTs designed to discredit HCQ. They used the wrong protocols, wrong group of patients at the wrong stage of the disease. In at least two countries patients were deliberately overdosed with HCQ and in Brazil the authorities have indicted the investigators for murder.

The WHO has an agenda to vaccinate the world and would have no compunction in discrediting Remdesevir just like they did with HCQ and all other treatments for early stage patients that have efficacy. in the case of Remdesevir it has been known since it days as a failed Ebola drug that iit is a bust. Unlike HCQ the WHO did not need to make any special effort to discredit it.

The fact is starting in March we had significant level 2 observational data that HCQ in combo with zinc and antibiotics used on early high risk patients is both safe and effective. No study to this date for this group of patients using this combo has shown otherwise. Just last week this paper below passed peer review that shows that this virus treated early reduces hospitalizations by 84% effectively ending the Pandemic if we adhere to the principals that medicine has done with all diseases which is treat early and not wait until it is too late.

Dr. Fauci coronated Remdesevir as "the standard of care" without any evidence and at the same time dismissed HCQ as unproven when the evidence of its efficacy met a standard of proof that 86% of other drugs would have been given a proper authorization for early stage high risk patients and not just hospitalized patients when ti is too late.

To this day the Govt of Canada here has effectively banned a treatment that would end this pandemic and discourages treating patients early with other effective treatments Ivermectin etc. By the way it is unprecedented in medical history that govt is interfering in the Dr patient relationship. Our rights as human beings are being trampled on.
To sit here and pontificate about the altruism of those in charge and try to rationalize their evil as "mistakes" is simply wrong.
