General Guidelines
---- Nous avons besoin d'un traduction français!
Some Basics
1. Under Board "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQs) there are 3 sections dealing with General Forum Usage, User Profile Features, and Reading and Posting Messages. These deal with everything from Avatars to Your Notifications. Most general technical questions are covered there. Here is a link to the FAQs. https://forum.chesstalk.com/help
2. Consider using the SEARCH button if you are looking for information. You may find your question has already been answered in a previous thread.
3. If you've looked for an answer to a question, and not found one, then you should consider asking your question in a new thread. For example, there have already been questions and discussion regarding: how to do chess diagrams (FENs); crosstables that line up properly; and the numerous little “glitches” that every new site will have.
4. Read pinned or sticky threads, like this one, if they look important. This applies especially to newcomers.
5. Read the thread you're posting in before you post. There are a variety of ways to look at a thread. These are covered under “Display Modes”.
6. Thread titles: please provide some details in your thread title. This is useful for a number of reasons. It helps ChessTalk members to quickly skim the threads. It prevents duplication of threads. And so on.
7. Unnecessary thread proliferation (e.g., deliberately creating a new thread that duplicates existing discussion) is discouraged. Look to see if a thread on your topic may have already been started and, if so, consider adding your contribution to the pre-existing thread. However, starting new threads to explore side-issues that are not relevant to the original subject is strongly encouraged. A single thread on the Canadian Open, with hundreds of posts on multiple sub-topics, is no better than a dozen threads on the Open covering only a few topics. Use your good judgment when starting a new thread.
8. If and/or when sub-forums are created, please make sure to create threads in the proper place.
Debate
9. Give an opinion and back it up with a reason. Throwaway comments such as "Game X pwnz because my friend and I think so!" could be considered pointless at best, and inflammatory at worst.
10. Try to give your own opinions, not simply those copied and pasted from reviews or opinions of your friends.
Unacceptable behavior and warnings
11. In registering here at ChessTalk please note that the same or similar rules apply here as applied at the previous Boardhost message board. In particular, the following content is not permitted to appear in any messages:
* Racism
* Hatred
* Harassment
* Adult content
* Obscene material
* Nudity or pornography
* Material that infringes intellectual property or other proprietary rights of any party
* Material the posting of which is tortious or violates a contractual or fiduciary obligation you or we owe to another party
* Piracy, hacking, viruses, worms, or warez
* Spam
* Any illegal content
* unapproved Commercial banner advertisements or revenue-generating links
* Any link to or any images from a site containing any material outlined in these restrictions
* Any material deemed offensive or inappropriate by the Board staff
12. Users are welcome to challenge other points of view and opinions, but should do so respectfully. Personal attacks on others will not be tolerated. Posts and threads with unacceptable content can be closed or deleted altogether. Furthermore, a range of sanctions are possible - from a simple warning to a temporary or even a permanent banning from ChessTalk.
Helping to Moderate
13. 'Report' links (an exclamation mark inside a triangle) can be found in many places throughout the board. These links allow users to alert the board staff to anything which is offensive, objectionable or illegal. Please consider using this feature if the need arises.
Advice for free
14. You should exercise the same caution with Private Messages as you would with any public posting.
What about their main conclusion: "In this randomized clinical trial of high-risk patients with mild to moderate COVID-19, ivermectin treatment during early illness did not prevent progression to severe disease. The study findings do not support the use of ivermectin for patients with COVID-19."
Ok, Egidijus, we are talking about science, that is a good thing!
Here are the results of this study
Deaths
Control 10 Ivermectin 3
Mech Vent
Control 10 Ivermectin 4
Their conclusion, it doesn’t work, What do you think??

Sid only reads the parts that don't force him to leave his safe space. He is a bit of a snowflake.

Stop the libel, Brian. I addressed this in the prior post that you clearly did not read. Here it is again. if anyone does not like "leaving their safe space" it is the investigators of this paper who changed the primary endpoint away from mortality as the results below did not fit their narrative.

Dr. Pierre Kory's detailed analysis of this pharma sponsored joke of a paper.
Some information on Kory is set out below. At this point in the pandemic, and roughly 14 months after Kory reportedly made the Ivermectin-related statements mentioned below, and if Kory was correct about Ivermectin ("miraculous"), then why hasn't there been anything supporting Kory's position from major American medical/health sources (e.g. NEJM, CDC, Johns Hopkins University, etc.)? And please, enough of the Big Pharma conspiracy stuff unless you can actually prove it.
**********************
Pierre Kory is an American critical care physician who gained attention during the COVID-19 pandemic for advocating widespread off-label use of certain drugs as treatments for COVID-19, as president and co-founder of the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC).[1][2] Kory testified twice to the U.S. Senate regarding COVID-19. During his testimony in December 2020, Kory erroneously claimed that the antiparasitic medication ivermectin was a "wonder drug" with "miraculous effectiveness" against COVID-19.[3]

Thanks Peter. Credibility does matter.
Hopefully, eventually, somehow the world will learn how to evaluate truth on the internet.
I don't know how, but maybe some day.

one piece of information on Kory is set out below.
I posted a factual summary of what Dr. Kory said in my post. these are from the Jama Paper itself. Surely you can use your brains to evaluate the content rather than spread pharma-sponsored bullshit about the messenger.

I am surprised by that comment from someone who I believe can read, I have provided ample proof here already. Here is a repeat of what I already posted.
The fact is that Moderna patented many of the components of the pathogenic spike protein on of SarsCOvV2 virus that they subsequently used as the basis for the MRNA that codes for the antigen on the Mrna vaccine. The only problem is that this was done years before the "pandemic".
Moderna patented both the pathogenic component of the Sarscov2 virus (spike protein) and the "vaccine" for it (actually the "gene therapy" is the correct description of the "vaccine") years before SARSCOV2 was ever released on the world.
This is the link to government Gene bank. It shows which genes and which sequences of amino acids are registered in the patent data base and which ones have been recorded as occurring in nature.
Below is a diagram of the many parts of the SARSCOV2 pathogenic spioe protein Moderna patented long before SaresCOV2 was released. As i provide on page 176 of the this thread here is an article that gives a step by approach on how to us the NIH patent database and gene and Amino database to verify that tModerna patented many of these components of both genes and amino acid sequences.
Here is the link I provided on page 176 of this thread that is a step by step guide to use the. NIH govt gene database and patented gene database to verify for yourself that what I said is a fact.
This book provides a complete proof of how pharma has corrupted academic journals the media and health care officials around the world in their efforts to suppress all therapies that have efficacy for SArsCOV2 in their efforts to make sure all roads lead to one very lucrative solution for pharma, mass vaccination. I am happy to email anyone in this forum this book. Private message me,

By the way here is the chief profiteer of vaccines Bill Gates himself who states that the mild Omicorn virus that confers natural immunity effectively serving as a natural vaccine is characterized By Bill as "sad".

The worst thing that ever happened to the world is the internet, the second worst thing is television. Since the advent of these monstrosities humans have for the most part forgotten how to read and think for themselves.
Yes Bob, I sincerely hope you do learn how to do that. You remind of the priests who bemoaned the invention of the Guttenberg printing press and then sang shananana shananana hey hey hey.
Maybe those priests realized that a greater number of books would promote literacy which in turn would promote critical thinking. Maybe they thought that more critical thinkers might distract them from their task of burning people at the stake. Btw Sdi, chesstalk has an easy-to-use quote function; no need to misquote people and misspell their names.

I scanned through your post (refer link above) and had the distinct impression that you didn't answer my question. You don't have to answer it if you'd rather not but, just in case you overlooked it, here it is again:
